Login and logout

Access to DocQ features is controlled by means of login credentials (username and password). The process of logging into and out of the platform is quite straightforward.

How to login

Head over to your DocQ domain. Typically, this is in the form of your company abbreviation followed by docq.app.
For example, if your company is called xpto, your DocQ instance would be xpto.docq.app.

Here's how it looks like:

 Login Screen

Enter your credentials in the Username and Password fields.

 Username and Password

Typically, this will be given by a DocQ admin created your user. Otherwise, you may have received a password reset email which will allow you to create a new password, but the username must still come from the admin for security reasons.

Signing in with SSO

Instead of typing your credentials, you can sign in with Single Sign-On (SSO) using one of the available providers:

 Sign in with SSO

  • Sign in with Google: use your Google account (personal or Google Workspace).
  • Sign in with Microsoft: use your Microsoft account (Microsoft 365 or Azure AD).
  • Sign in with GitLab: opens a Cloudflare Access screen where you sign in with your DocQ company account. At NDM Global, this is the Google Workspace / Google Account button, which then redirects you to Google.
  • Sign in with Google SAML: use your organization's SAML-based single sign-on set up through Google Workspace.

Defining or changing your password

To be able to log in, you must have a valid username and password. These are defined when your DocQ user is created.

The password can be defined by the admin when creating a new user, or the admin can opt to leave it up to the new user to define its own password using the link in the received notification email.

If you are an admin and need to create a new user, visit this link: How to Create an User.

If you forgot your password:

  1. Click in  Forgot your password? link;
  2. Inform your username;

 Recover Password

  1. Click in Send reset link.

An email to reset your password will be sent to the email address of your DocQ profile.

 Password Reset Email

In case you reach 10 invalid attempts to log in with your username, it will be blocked until you define a new password through the reset password process described above.

After logging into DocQ, you can change your password by editing your profile.

  1. Click your profile icon and open “Profile”;

 Profile Menu

  1. Click “Change Password” and update your password

 Change Password

DocQ upholds robust password standards to prioritize security. Your passwords must follow the guidelines of NIST 800-63B special publication. That is, passwords must contain a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 64 characters, mixing lower and upper case, alphanumeric and special characters.

Note: When redefining a password, you cannot use the same as of your last three passwords in DocQ.
